October 2021 Housing Market Update for Sarnia-Lambton

October had 381 active listings and 156 sold, totalling $75 million in sales volume. Compare this to October 2020 where we had 203 homes sold, totalling $87 million dollars in sales volume.

 

October 2021 had an average of 20 days to sell, versus last October where it took an average of 17 days to sell. The average sale price was around $480 thousand dollars, vs $430 thousand in October 2020, which is an 11% price increase.

 

11 homes sold for under $200,000. 63 homes sold in the $200,000-399,000 price range. 44 homes sold in the $400,000-$599,000 price range. 35 homes sold in the $600,000+ price range.

 

The average listing price was around $425 thousand dollars.
